5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Soooo, my new Camry is the 07 SE so it comes with the Fogs. The car is the gunmetal grey with the metallic flakes in it. I plan on accenting the car with black high gloss rims mixed with chromes and the semi-smoked taillights with LEDs along with my tinted windows. Now I know it's all personal preference but I need some opinions!!!
Do I go with the 8000k+ bulbs? I'm feeling the 6000k for the lowbeams, on that I don't want it to be too bluey, just a tint. For the fogs...everyone says do the 3000k yellow because it's a "JDM thing." Is the yellow too played out? Problem is apparently since the fogs aren't projectors, the HIDs won't be good enough in the stock foglights. Is this true? If so, any links on aftermarket projector fogs for a good price?
Also, I'm from up in tdot (Toronto, baby), so our winters get vicious and I hear the HIDs are sensitive and therefore it's needed to get the big bulky analog ballasts and not the digital. Besides, I hear the digitals are kind of shitty. Is this true?
Let me know. Also wondering if I should go with 55w or 35w, all based on opinion. Give me HID links for a sweet price too - site references.

GET AT ME TOYOTA NATION!!!
i could sware i messaged you back on youtube. As i said in the reply, Go with a 35W DDM kit for 25 bucks. Heres the link http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/Ap...Raptor-HID-Kit
Theres a color chart to show you what each bulb looks like. 5000K is pure white. I have 6000K which is white with a hint of blue. Any higher then that arent as bright. The reason we say not to do fogs is because they glare terribly because they're a reflector housing. A few of us use 92-96 es300 projector fogs with either 3000k or 3500K

Hey man, ya you did msg me. I just wanted opinions as well from others although I am taking yours into high consideration. Where do I get good fogs then, bro? and for the HIDs is it analog or digital. I mean, you're from Jersey, the winter is the same here. How have they been?
What do you mean by, Which HID to get? Brand? The 6000k, 10000k....so on is just the difference in color of the light output.
I am aware of that, I'm asking based on good prices for any brand that is dependable and with the larger analog ballasts. I hear the digi's aren't good in winters. Also, I was asking for opinion on what colours to get and what is played out.

Bro that would be sick! Let me know. Also, what should I do with the Fog lights?
es300 fogs. I have one, still looking for one more. The mounting holes are different then the camry ones so im going to have to custom fab a new mounting bracket. Saddly its not plug and play. I know Pawel has em if you wanted to pm him with any questions.

There are no projector fogs that are direct drop ins... at least OEM - I saw some on ebay before that were made in china..and had halos ... ugly, unreliable stuff and the projectors were prob crap too
Since I see that you're doin HIDs for lows... I would guess that the fogs (even projector ones) won't add additional light in most cases - why not just go the colored bulb route? I recall reading threads about decent colored bulbs... something like silverstars don't last and nokyas are cheap... if you go that route I'm sure there are multiple ppl w/ that experience.
Remember that your HID lows have a flicker effect - meaning that the color on the ground will most likely be yellower than what other people see. If you want to match your colors, u gotta take the projector's color bending in to account.
For instance.. I use 4300k in my low beams, but everybody sees blue.. what color blue? I don't know b/c I don't care
