Us gen 3 camry guys actually locate our intakes right behind where the "fog lights" go. I haven't known anyone to suck in any air.

edit: AFTERMARKET Cold air intake.... goes behind the lower right little hole there, under the turn signal... inside the fender.

I highly doubt anyone here is going to prove the physics and give you a 100% definite answer. If you want to do it, do it!

It would benefit more on track with ducts running to the brakes. But for everyday use...i doubt you'll feel any difference.
I plan on doing this to my old bumper for track days...as the fog lights are out of it. I'll ad duct work and run it either to the intake, or to brakes. but that will only be used on track days.

+1. It would be good for brake ducts for the track. For the air intake duct, I don't think it will make much of a difference in hp. As for the aero, I think the effect of the ducts on the aero aspect would be minimal also unless you were consistently doing 100mph+ on track days and then you would have to way the good with the bad. Brake/air duct gains vs the aero losses.
