First passenger front door lock quits, now Driver side front! What gives!?

The front passenger door lock quit working. It began by getting jammed, and eventually not flipping and now it is completely dead requiring me to manually flip the switch to lock/unlock the door.

Now my driver's side front is starting to do the same thing. It makes strange noises when locking/unlocking and has gotten jammed several times.

The passenger front started having problems a few weeks ago and the driver's side front started a few days ago. I just find it odd that the doors would both quit at around the same time.

Is there anything else that could be causing this problem? Electrical? or is it just coincidence that the solenoids may have gone out on those doors?

Could it be a faulty fuse panel? faulty master switch? or something else???

It really gets annoying, as you can't lock the doors (no flashing lights or beep) if one of the doors doesn't flip/lock. So I have to manually flip the doors now and then hit "lock" on the key to activate the alarm.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well today they magically started working again.

Any idea on what could be causing the sporadic failure of my door locks?

Temperature change, humidity change, etc. You might take them out and clean and polish them a little so they don't stick.

is it hard to 'flip' between lock/unlock? It shouldn't.

It sounds like they are in the process of failing. They usually work sporadically before biting the dust for good.

Well I have the door off on the Driver's side and am trying to figure it out. First the Driver's lock quit working, then it started working again. Then the other 3 doors stopped working but the driver's worked. Now all the other doors work but the Driver's side quit working AGAIN. It also seems to be sporadic.

I am actually getting LOCKED IN THE CAR now. The door will not lock or unlock on occasion I can't even flip the lock above the handle as it is completely stuck. The only way to loosen it is to actually punch the door in random places and eventually it will loosen up.

Any idea guys? I honestly can't go out and about if I can't lock the car when I am away.
