Noob question about subs

I am getting a deal for 2 kenwood 12's in a ported box and a 2000 watt amp, all i wanted to know was if everything will work with my stock non jbl headunit in my 2010 camry, thanks guys

First off, quality sound is always better then wattage. Next… if you just wire a sub and do not amp your speaker, your system will not be balanced and will sound like @@#$@ IMO, I also recommend changing the front two speakers with 6.5". When you say 2000 watts... it's like WOW, but depending on the quality... one 12" 150Watt sub may hit harder. Definatley go second hand if you can. If you are on a budget the best sounding cheapest system that I could think of is a JL300.4 and one 12" W3... buy it on craigslist and try to get two new 6.5" speakers; amp the two speaker and the sub and play the rear speakers from your deck. What I just described is a QUALITY sounding system.

Now about your question. You still need to wire the whole system and the amount of work to wire one amp verse two amps is minimal.
