Gen5 mr2 head

would it fit on gen 5 motors, some local people are saying it wouild it fit because they have the same engine. if true has anyone tried?

mk1, mkii, nor the mr-s uses the same engine, u sure the locals know what they're talking about? If its a shop, i'd prob stay away if i were you lol

You never explained why you wanted/needed to change to a different engine's head. Care to share? How about using the one that was designed for it. In the absence of other compelling information it this would be the best call.

It's a Camry, not a performance car. If you do want to get more power, SC or Turbo it.

somebody might have mistakenly typed Gen 5 as oppose to gen 4 (or gen 3). 5sfe block is what they both share.

The N/A MR2 has 5sfe.
The 3sgte head will also fit the 5sfe block. We build strokers out of the 5sfe block.But Crank rod journals must be machined to accept 3sgte rods.
