Can anyone know how could I boost the FM signal on my radio. It's been bad since I change my stock radio to Pioneer. All reply is appreciated, thanks.

Plug in the antenna amplifier.

Here is the location for the manuals:
camry^stuff^com
(remove the first, dot the second symbol)

It would help if you tell us the year and trim levels. The more info the better.

There may be a wire on the replacement head unit that has +12 volts on it when you turn on the radio, Just attach that to the wire to the antenna amplifier (I don't remember but it might be orange.)

Good luck......

have you tried tuning the new radio..?? usually on the back of the radio there is a very small screw you need to turn one way or another, and the radio is supposed to be set at a station high up the band (1400 and up). check the radio instruction sheet. as for FM boosters, i have never found any to be worth a crap.

Basically run a wire connecting from the orange wire from the ten-pin connector of the front speakers to 12 volt on head receiver?

There are 2 12 volt sources (1 for power, switched with the ignition switch) and (2 one with 12 volts all of the time for memory). connect to the switched power, otherwise you will put an unnecessary drain on the battery with the ignition off.

There may be a wire on the replacement head unit that has +12 volts on it when you turn on the radio, just attach that orange wire to the wire from the radio that has the switched 12 volts. If you have the make and model of the radio that you installed, I might be able to locate that wire color and location for you.

On page 11 of the installation manual:

Blue/White "wire"
To auto-antenna relay control terminal.
If the vehicle has a glass antenna, connect to the antenna
booster power control terminal
(max. 300 mA 12 V DC).

That wire from the glass antenna is orange on pin 8 of the connector.
Looking from the pin side of the connector in the vehicle harness, is:

10 9 8 7 6 5
4 3 blank 2 1
