Great Deal ... need advice

I have an 88 Corolla FX and have been with the forum for about a year.

I just got offered an '07 Camry with about 1500 mi. on it for $10,000.oo!

I need advice about recalls & stuff (?) because I'm going to snatch up this car soon.

Thanks in advance.

Way too cheap. Go over the car and under the car looking for any signs of body repair. Check the engine serial with the VIN. There are no recalls of consequence--the accelerator pedal is a farce, a few things done to the engine computer to improve driveability but likely already done. Check to see if the odometer was replaced and it is true mileage. I smell a fish.

Sounds like a rebuilt title. I know of a 2007 Camry with 170K miles on it but with a scrap engine (car was totaled) that only has 7,000 miles on it for $7,500.00.

I would make sure that you have access to Toyota's guarantee.

It was driven by an old lady at our church. Her family is selling it. Garage kept and the back seat was never sat on.

I have already found a detailed write-up abot the floor gas pedal interference, mod & reprogramming. I'm going to look at it Monday and will probably drive it home.

If it's actually a 1500 mile 2007 car with a clean history, it will make a great (serious bargain) transportation car.

I would not wait long.

You should have mentioned the pedigree in the first post.

update ... lesson learned

The wife got confused it was actually a Corolla and for $10,000 it was still a good deal. We drove it an agreed to buy it, made plans to meet her the next day with cash.

The next day my wife gets an email ... now she wants $12,500. I told my wife to handle it because we had a deal. I'd have pressed her harder to stick to it.

Should have shook on it, should've given her a deposit, should not have taken the word of a little ol lady choir director at church. People suck!!!
