USA flashed my PCM and eliminated the gov's

so i was watching some you tube videos and someone said they Just flashed their PCM and eliminated the gov's. does any know how much it cost and what does it improves?

Eliminating the governor will allow you to go pass the redline limit, and speed if there is one. Unless your engine is heavily modified, it's pointless.

beside a K&N intake for camry, is there really anything else? if not, it is pointless

Ive had my car hit th governer at 145 and it deffinately had more to go. Pluss lotus revs our engines to 7 grand. There's deff more power to be made after factory redline

I don't think lotus uses the same gear ratios and i think a different gear box not sure though.

Theirs absolutely not logical reason i can think of to take the gov off unless you have heavy performance upgrades and race/track etc the car but most likely people don't do that in a camry. Also im sure a lot of shops don't want to touch a camrys computer due to the publicity on sudden acceleration thats just a huge liability on there business.
