US built vs Japanese Built

Hi,

I drive a camry 2002 LE V4. I broke my passenger side mirror and shopping for replacement. Most of the classifieds talk about their item to fit USA built. Does this mean this mirror won't fit my Japan built car.

BTW, my VIN starts with letter J and I was thinking its a Japanese built car.

I appreciate your response.

Thanks,
t-mann

On the Gen6, as you can see in your Factory Service Manual, the Japan model mirror glass attaches just the opposite of the US model into the mirror assy.

The mirror attaches the same way on either model.

Wiring connector. ????????
