Wheel opinion

Well I'm about to get 2 of my wheels curb rash repaired due to my dumbass not paying attention to the road. So thusly here's a question for yall.

How would you guys feel about the TRD wheels but in black? And I'm talking powder coating, not cheapo spray n go.

Black wheels without any lip or contrast looks a bit cheap IMO. Gunmetal on the other hand is clean.

I have always liked the look of gunmetal spokes on a black "background", so to speak

Well I was wondering to see if they would have the ability to make the wheels black with a blue lip to match my car, or make the TRD in the middle of the wheel blue to match the car as well. If someone can photoshop that, would be nice. It's hard to find a set of black with blue rim stripe. Bunch of red, but I don't want red. I'm not lookin for the star spangled banner car.

There's not lip on those rims, so it would look out of place blue. The blue stripe around the rim might look ok. But straight black would blend in with your car colour and look like steelies.

Look for pics of Corey's blue SE he had black BBS's and it looked baaaad. IMO

Here's a thought, what if I got them done in black but left the polished spokes alone and exposed? How bout that?

EDIT: I know the good brands of wheels, what about some brands to avoid? Any specific ones people suggest to stay away from?

NNONONONOONONONONONO. Not even a little black. It'll look like that Kia Forte Koup. Yucky.

Whatever you do... I wanna see. Because I have a set sitting on the other side of this wall.

edit: Look what happens when you get far away.... it looks like one giant spoke... like a FLOWER.

I don't think we're talking Kia Forte Koup here, I think we're talking something else.
(Now if Tire Rack would let me copy/paste the url we'd be in business, argh!)
