Cutting Springs

So i recently lowered my car on Eibach Pro-Kits. I like the amount of drop but i want it to be lower so i was thinking about cutting them until i buy coilovers. I understand that the ride quality will worsen and that it will be bouncy but im ok with that. Im pretty sure it wont be THAT bad bc theyre not stock springs that im cutting.

I basically want no wheel gap in the front (i have non in the rear) so im planning on cutting the fronts first. Then ill cut the rear depending on how it looks.

Front- 2 finger gap

Rear- no gap

Thanks a lot !

I wouldnt cut any springs, even though i've cut many springs for friends and other people. If you can, heat them up...but that is just as bad (the only thing is that you wont have to take them off and put them on again =)

Don't do it...you're gonna screw a lot more up than just your ride quality.

Are you a V6 or I4? That is odd that the back is lower. I have the same springs and the back is .5" higher than the front. (i have a V6)...

Save for the coils, don't cut the springs.

when you heat up the spring, it looses compression and you can somewhat control the drop.
the problem only problem is almost similar to cutting, most likely it will be uneven.

the back on mine looks lower, but then again its because the wheel well seems of a smaller circumference than the front. when you look at the car from the side it looks even.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Cutting progressive rate springs = you failed high school physics. PLEASE don't do it.

I wouldn't say rim size. It has to do more with tire size.
