Transmission Issue Camry 2002 xls v6
I purchased a 02 camry xls v6(3.0l), with 130k eight months ago. The transmission went out 4 months later. It started with a whining noise coming from the tran when I started it up in the morning. The noise would go away after a minute or so. I had it flushed at the dealer, it then went completely to hell about two weeks later when it would not stay in gear while driving. I had the tran replaced with a rebuilt tran and torque converter about three months ago. All was fine until last week. Now the whining noise is back when I start it up in the morning. The tran pump seems to be sucking air on the initial start-up, and I can hear it almost gargle until the pump starts to move the oil around in the tran. The tran is U140E. I live in California (Bay Area), so the oil is not subjected to cold weather. I used the best synthetic oil when the rebuilt was put in. It cost me 3k for the tran and install, and would like to avoid any more major repairs considering I just replaced the transmission. I have only put about 2500 miles on the new tran.
What could be causing this?
