2006 Camry wont go into "Programming Mode"

Greetings to all. I am a newbie yes, and I know I run the risk of getting flamed for creating a new thread but I have done multiple searches and I haven't seen any similar questions to this one so here it goes...

I have a 2006 Camry XLE and I had to replace the battery on the keyless entry remote. I am trying to get it to link back up but all internet searches tell me to go through a process of opening and closing the doors to get the car into "progreamming mode".

I have tried the sequence several times and I cant get my car to go into "Programming mode" as this website suggests but my car does not respond to that sequence. Am I doing something wrong? How do you get your car to link back up with the keyless remote?

Any information you can offer would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.

Camryquestion. Try Googling tsbel009-07,look at the third entry which is toyotaparts.com. This will show you Toyota TSB EL009-07. This information was sent to me by carandtruckremotes.com with a new transmitter I purchased for my 2004 Camry LE. These instructions worked for me to program the new unit. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately that is the same sequence I tried before without success. I tried it again and my car simply doesn't respond so I'm beginning to think that the remote is not what broke in the first place. I will just live without the keyless because I'm sure if I take it to the dealer they will charge me thousands of dollars to fix and also list a hundred other "problems" that I also need to fix.
