Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hello all, In the past week and a half my tire pressure sensor keeps lighting up. I brought it up to a co-worker and he said every winter his wife's 2007 Camry has the same issue with the sensor lighting up. does anyone else have this issue?
I have been checking the pressure and it does seem to be changing but is this something that just happens in cold weather and I am safe to ignore it?
input? thoughts?
Thanks

Right. But it gets annoying going to the gas station every day.
Well... my post was partially in jest. I realize you are checking them. Are you checking the spare? Not sure if yours has a sensor in the spare but many vehicles now do. If you air up to specified pressure and are having to go back, it's entirely possible that there is an issue with the TPMS system. If the light is coming on when you are sure the pressures are OK, then you might have a bad sensor.
sounds like you might have a leak in ur tire.. maybe picked up a nail or something.. as long as the light isnt flashing the sensors are ok... sounds to me like you might have picked up a nail or some object

I will triple check that.

Good chance spare as stated. These sensors are so stupid. Should be a gauge on dash showing all 5 tires pressure would of been so easy. An the fact you have to go to the dealer to calibrate new sensors at a price is agrivating.
Unless you actually have a leak and see the pressure drop on one of the 4 driving tires then clearly a leak.
