Some vehicles may demonstrate one or more of the following intermittent radio condition(s): scrambled, unreadable or blank display; no volume control; or turning ON/OFF by itself. An improved radio has been developed to correct this condition.

APPLICABLE WARRANTY
• This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.

Would this even apply to most people since the TSB came out in March but the original 3 year warranty would be over at least for the 2006 and 2007 and many of the 2008 models. I know I bought my 2007 Camry in May of 2006 so the basic warranty is long gone. I've actually had a similar problem to this but my display balnks out in over 100 degree heat. Luckily I have the Toyota platinum 7 year warranty and the stereo is covered.

The TSB applies to all those vehicles but under warranty coverage only for some who are still in the applicable warranty period..

Apparently, on the new radios the message "Welcome to Camry" no longer shows its self on the screen during startup. Unless this is something that can be programmed.
