2009 Camry/ 4 cylinder, makes a strange rattle noise at times?
Just bought my Camry 2009, with 6700 miles just a few weeks ago, and my question is when I drive the car after just starting it, and I press the gas, sometimes there is a strange rattle noise? The car runs smooth, however sometimes it will make that rattle noise, when I press the gas, while driving? No alerts have popped up? Just don't know what it is? I appreciate any information on this, and thanks!
Just bought my 2009 Camry 4 cylinders, with 6700 miles a few weeks ago, and the car runs great and is immaculate, however sometimes when I drive the car, and press the gas, it make s a weird rattle noise? I used to have a 2008 Toyota Yaris, and it never made that noise? Can anyone help me? There are no alert signals, and the car runs great, it's just that noise it makes at times only while pressing the gas pedal?

well on the one hand, it almost sounds like the typical "pinging" sounds of a gasoline that has low octane, as well a s the timing being off, (too far advanced). now we cannot set the timing, the computer does that, so a repair garage or the dealer can help you there. it could be a computer going bad, or a sensor going bad, once called the "anti-knock" sensor..
where do you buy your gasoline from...?? a major retailer or a mom/pop type of place.??? our cars run well on 87 octane. the higher compression, higher horsepower engines WILL require super unleaded. i would have someone check the running condition of the engine. since it is a 2009, you are still covered under both the standard warranty AND the emissions warranty.
go back to the dealer, as adjustments are covered, and they may possibly uncover a problem that a part needs to be replaced.
I buy my gas from shell most of the time 87 octane. Thanks for replying, I will call the closest Toyota dealer and see what they say. I appreciate your help!

The noise is not constant only when I accelerate at times, it's a little scratchy vibration noise, I which I could record it. I don't know much about cars, all I know is that my last car Toyota Yaris 2008 never made any kind of noise. The Camry rides smoothly, just curious about why it does that? Bought the car used, but with 6700 miles wasn't expecting any issues.

then it is still under the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty.....go back to the dealer...
If you can't get to the dealer, have a trusted friend with some mileage under his belt drive around with you and listen. Some sounds haven't changed in 60 years. It's just ok to not know about cars. That comes with youth. Remember the sound and the final diagnosis and file the knowledge away for future use. It will come in handy.
