5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
it's been a while -- most of you think I might have died or something, but i'm here, been trolling mostly due to work.
new mods -- glad to announce,
1. Brand New Spanking 2003 fog light holed front bumper to replace my eye sore. (D&H auto parts has a fat deal -- got mine painted + free shipping + no tax for 232.90)
4. Installing 3k 35watt HID's into my fogs or 35watt 5k's/6k's into them, these are always adjusted (no nagging from the people who says hids aren't for fogs, they will be dark enough since I got the lamps smoked)
Also installing those with 5k 35watt HID --
I'll have pics of the installation process asap once i get my bumper.
till then guys, I'll see yah around (this will be within the next month or so).
PS -- I'm straight piping my exhaust and getting rid of my resonator too, but that's minor compared to the rest.

I'd check those projector headlights too....remember i had them and the output was horrible, and the bulbs kept blowing.
I doubt the quality is the same in ebay, because I had ebay lights -- harnesses are different on this one than the ebay, mine is HID ready.
heh you had those dragon eyes as projectors - not the same as the ones I posted. As far as the bulbs blowing, it is not the housing that causes bulbs to blow - maybe you had oil on your fingers when touching the bulbs, who knows -- I have another HID kit from another seller that I bought.
output on these are fine for me, I've seen them before and they light up much better.

soon friend, soon =) I haven't had the change to pull pictures up for the purchased products since I don't want oil or damage. I still need to buy the laminx for these pieces plus the new front bumper, another 400 bucks.

And i never touched the bulbs with my fingers.......
Depending on what bulbs, some just blow really quick but I still bet its the housing some how affecting the bulb. Who knows lol.
But I would say the projectors on his aftermarket lights will have better output with his hid than your reflectors with hid ...
ps. once i finish my blackhousing on the gen6, gonna throw hid's into the fogs .
yeah havent see u forever. a lot of pp on here dont show up anymore=SAD
Yeah I know, lately the community has died since 2 years ago or so. I wanted to see meets more in Ncal or Scal, but no luck -- though I've done a lot of tweaks to the car, I got a new set of coils (same BR, but custom spring rates -- coming in this Feb,)
FR: 8K
BK: 8k
Right now i'm on 6k's and 4ks, which is a bit too soft, since I rub -- I also need camber setup so the current set is going to go as soon as I get the new sets in.

I agree, depending on housing the bulbs will blow, but if you know what you're doing it won't be a problem. If you buy your bulbs from a reputable source I wouldn't worry either. Never had problems with bulbs, probably never will if you know what you're doing. My current HID's in reflectors turned down isn't producing enough light since my OEM housing is oxydized, but I just want a new style, took this chance to do so and it looks like it'll turn out well.
CamrySExxx, post pics when you get them on, I'd like to see it.
Also some new LED fogs are sexy right now, and they are in.

Hopefully I'll get off my ass and do it soon. Ill try to get pics for tomorrow.
Gotta solder in a new connector since the nokya bulbs melted the current one. Or else I would've done it by now.
35w 5000k lows, 35w 4300k fogs.
You can really see the output difference between the two. The fog housing on the gen5 always sucked imo and were there mainly for looks. The output of the fogs arent that great, it does have a better output than halogens, it does help a BIT with the foreground lighting. Its not so bad though, with how cheap kits are now-a-days why wouldnt u put one in.
Ill try to get pics soon , I have some taken with my blackberry but its not htat great, ill try to get a hold of a dslr tonight and ill give you some pics
