Does your rear deck emit a rattling noise when you have music going with your subs on. I can't tell if I have a blown speaker or if it's the vibration of the rear deck hitting the rear window. I also hear a faint rattling sound when i have the volume down and the subs off. Maybe I have both issues? Anyone have same issues?

i have two 12in average mtx subs, the back dash rattles so i pulled it off and put a good amount of foam pads underneath and i put some small pieces of foam between the 3rd brake light and the glass, it stopped all of my rattling in the rear deck.

How many subs and how much power are we talking here? My sub doesn't make much vibrate unless I turn it way up
I have two MTX 12inch subs

How thick was the foam? The area where the thrid break seems to be the culprit. its a real tight fit. I'll try this out though, thanks.

its the rear deck slapping against the rear window cause by the vibration from your system. i had the same problem when i first installed my system, it was the ugliest rattling noise ever!! lol I pulled it out and under the part near the rear glass i applied second skin audio damplifier (similar to dynamat but cost more) I also applied it everywhere in the rear deck..It got rid of most of the annoying rattling but i still have a slight rattle because i'm running a 1500 watt system. lol
