Max Tire Size?

I'm looking to buy some wider tires for my mom's '07 camry le and would like to know how far I can go in terms of width before it becomes unsafe? Like would 225/55/16 be a good option?

this post should be moved by a moderator to the official rim n tire thread. For now, yes those tires will fit the stock rim. i'm running 225/55/16 on mine and the wider size improves grip and handling more than you'd think for just 10mm wider and shorter sidewall. Only problem is that ur speedo doesnt read correctly, but the formula to figure that out is listed on the first page of the OFFICIALwheel and tire fitment thread found on the stickys on the gen5/6 forum.
