Hey guys, im looking into getting an aftermarkey alarm system for my car and if i do end up getting one i would like to replace my key that has a fob built in to just a chipped key so that way i dont have to carry around an extra fob which is bulky in my opinion. Does any one have an idea if this ebay replacement key will work with a 2011 toyota camry immobilizer system? the seller says it will work with the 2010 camry which is the same as the 2011, but who knows. thanks

It should work, it's similar to the valet key.

Any "Toyota 4D key" will work. if it works for 2007 camry, then it will work for any year after that unless there is a completely new generation vehicle. This is the rule of thumb for most make/model if not all.

Bypass your immobilizer with the xpresskit XK05 or the universal by pass and just get a regular key cut and use that. Your local hardware store should be able to cut it. Or use your valet key, but you cannot open your trunk or lock your glove box with it.

how you plan to program the key to your car? if you take it to a dealer, the price should be around 50bucks. They might not do it base on hourly but they will do it base on per item charge. It's equivalent to .5hr of labor.

It takes less than 1 min to program the key w/ their Techstream. NO JOKE.

one of my local dealers said $50 bucks to get it programmed and cut, so it isnt too bad.

my local dealer charged me 45 dollars to program and cut my switch blade key.

Key cutting isn't what there charging bc those service can be free at a local locksmith. They subscription charges for their software(techstream) in thousands per month
