2003 Camry Headlight Assembly Replacement

Does anyone have the replacement instructions for the headlight assembly for a 2003 Camry, 4 cylinder. Not the bulbs, I'm talking about the headlight fixture itself. Step by step instructions with diagrams or pictures would be awesome! Thank you for your support.

I have recently helped a friend do this. It is pretty easy, and hopefully I am able to find some instructions for you, but here was the rundown on a 2004 Camry, so it should be similar to a 2003.

-Remove fender liners from the wheel well to get access to the bolts holding in the bumper. Do this one side at a time so you do not have to remove the entire bumper.
-Work on removing one end of the bumper cover, and you should see bolts holding the headlight assembly in place
-Go ahead and remove the headlight assembly and put the bumper cover & fender liner back on.
-Do the same for the other side.

2003 Camry Headlight Assembly Replacement

My son just purchased this 2003 Camry which he did not know was involved in an accident. After the fact, we found that the existing driver and passenger side headlight assemblies were cracked and the some of the plastic mounting brackets were broken, and or missing. So, we really don't know how the new headlights we purchased actually bolts to the body. That is why we need some type of diagrams or pictures we can follow to do a proper installation. Some metal support brackets may be missing, not sure. Hopefully you or someone has the info we are looking for. Thank you very much for your support.

The only bracket the headlamp installs to is on the side along the fender where the bumper meets the fender. Its black and helps hold the bumpers wing in place. Other than that you should have (driver side facing HL) top right, one screw with wht grommet at fender, one screw lower left by grille with wht grommet, and a bolt shot thru the fender at lower right at black bracket. Another screw is shot at the top of the grill/bumper to the HL at the top left as well that has to be removed first the expose those. I have no pics so I do apologize for this but that is all that holds them in, the rest is actually welded to the unibody and snaps in pretty easily with the bumper cover off.

Very good! That is a big help. We should be able to get the headlight assemblies installed properly with both of these instructions. Thanks a million to both of you. Happy New Year!

These instructions are for blacking out the headlight housing but the first half highlights headlight removal. Hope it helps

It would be worth searching the internets for the factory service manual, it's out there but is much harder to find then it used to be.

Yes, I agree concerning the Factory Service Manual. I just found the Owners Manual on Ebay, I will start looking for the Factory Service Manual as well. Thanks for your support.
