Hey guys,
recently i installed a PAC steering wheel interface howeber for some unknown reason pin 8 on the wiring harness was being injected with a 12v source when the car was ON causing all sorts of problems... the main one being that the mode button would cause the circuit breaker under the dash to go off and turn my headlights on. I traced the wires back from the circuit breaker and noticed that the black one connected to a resistor in series with a wire that was spliced into the same wire as pin 8 under the dash. Now im not really sure what the idea behind this was or if that wire also has other accessories connected to it or what. I was thinking that possible the diode may be faulty allowing the 12v source to flow into the wire but I'm not really too sure. Does anybody know what this is or what its for?
Also if anybody has a copy of the wiring PDF for the 02 camry I would be more than grateful. Camrystuff.com has closed down now and I can't find backups anywhere.

Well I managed to find a wiring diagram for the car but i can't seem to find anything to do with the steering controls. Im not sure if the australian model is too different but could somebody confirm what the pinouts for the circuit breaker located up next to the left of the dirver side junction box are? That way i may be able to see why the steering wheel control wire was connected to it in series with a 1.5A diode.
