battery airbag and ABS warning lights on at same time

I have the battery, Airbag and ABS warning lights come on in the dashboard, radio wont go on and clock seems very dim on the sides, what is the car trying to tell me, or what is wrong with it. This happened after I jump started the car, and in treacherous weather in NC. However, the car stays on after being jump started. What is wrong?

The alternator is not working and this is perhaps due to the manner used to jump the car. Perhaps a positive to a negative?? Anyway with the engine running check the voltage at the battery which should be in the 14 volt range. If not, find the relevant fuse and replace it. As memory serves the alternator fuse is in the box under the hood and a real pistol to get to and even harder to find a replacement.
