Wiring Interior SMD LED strip in footwell to dome light AND headlights

i just ordered a 5m long led smd strip, i want to cut 12inch pieces and put one each under the footwell and under the back seat, i want to wire them to work with the dome lights and i want them to come on when i turn on my headlights at night. does that make sense? i want them working when i open my door or when the dome light turns on...and have them turn on when i turn on my headlights.i have a 2011 camry se, i tried drawing a schematic but after the dome light wired to the led should i run another wire from the led and connect a relay then connect that to the headlight power

You will need to install a diode in the feed from the dome light to keep the dome light from coming on when the headlights are on.
I would think the extra lights on inside at night would make too much glare on the glass, being an issue with seeing out. But if you are goin to try it I would use a relay switched on by the headlights to power the LED's when your headlights are on.
