I put on a 23mm Ultra-Racing RSB. The bushings squeak pretty bad in the colder weather. I wound up using the stock clamps because they seem to conform better to the bolt placement on the chassis. That helped a little over the clamps that came with the RSB. I've greases the bushings with white lithium, and again with all purpose lithium. The squeak inevitably returns. Any suggestions on another lubricant to use, or other squeak solution? I know there's a TSB out there, but my after-market RSB wouldn't apply. The stock, or replacement OEM bushings listed in the TSB won't even fit around the 23 mm bar.
Thanks
You need polyurethane bushing grease. You can get it through Energy Suspensions. For the time being, if you have some wheel bearing grease around, it would work better than lithium grease. I would take the bushings off and make sure the bar is perfectly clean before applying the grease.

i just installed my 19mm rear sway bar a few days ago and the grease i used was def not good enough....the cold 20 degree weather we have here in jersey isnt helping either so i ended up going to autozone and buying mobil 1 synthetic grease which i will be applying this week to see if the squeaking stops....thanks stephan for the tip....grease looks much better than what i bought

I'm having the same problem: installed an UltraRacing 23mm rear sway bar on my 2011 Camry SE in March and used Dow DC-4 silicone grease. In about six months it started squeaking so I removed everything and greased the bushings/bar liberally with ShinEtsu silicone grease. That lasted about 4 months and the squeaking is back.
The bushings seem to be wearing so I'll try to order a replacment set, but the big question is what grease is effective here? Silicone base or petroleum base? Perhaps a Teflon grease? I need to put it back together tonight so I'll try some Teflon grease I have and hope for the best.
Who has found the magic grease that works permanently?

^ not really, that stuff washes out just as quickly as any other grease. you need polyurethane bushing grease from Energy Suspension like DOHCammer suggested. Much stickier and lasts at least a year in my experience.
i used mobile 1 full synthetic suspention grease, never had a squeek yet
Having tried the two different silicone greases without success I bought some Mobil 1 grease tonight and lubed the bushings up after cleaning them well. I'll know in a few months.

you can get it here: http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...shing-Lube.asp
The UltraRacing bar uses rubber bushings though, not urethane, would that call for a different grease? I know urethane is much harder and less porous.

Recap: UltraRacing 23mm bar installed on my 2011 SE just under a year ago, no grease included with the kit. Used Dow silicone grease on initial install, squeaked in about 6 months. Removed bar, cleaned, and greased using ShinEtsu silicone grease, supposedly just the thing, it squeaked again in a few months. On the advice of this forum I removed/cleaned again and tried Mobil 1 synthetic grease. Now two months later the squeak is returning.
I guess the only thing left is to order some of the urethane bushing grease as recommended above which I just did. Still, I'd like to understand what is going on here and what is in this grease that makes it effective. This is a highly annoying problem, UR should be on top of this IMHO.

Mine finally started making noise recently since it's gotten cold, installed it last April, put almost 20k miles on it before it made noise. its just at low speeds too, backing out of a parking spot or sometimes when pulling into a driveway where the rear flexes it'll make a little clunk.
Don't forget that Energy Suspension also make universal polyurethane bushings too. I would get a set of their black bushings (since they're graphite impregnated) and some of their grease. I haven't taken any measurements so I don't know the correct part #, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out. http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...r-Bushings.asp
