Rough idling after using different gas station

Usually, I go to my local Quick Trip to fill up but yesterday, I went to Shell and filled about half tank from almost empty. I drove home and the next day, the car was idling a lot rougher than it did before. I know that all gas stations use ethanol but my QT station doesn't have the sticker that says "may contain 10% ethanol" but the Shell station did. Just a thought.

So does Shell use a different ethanol content than QT or did I just get some dirty gas or could it be something else. And would ethanol cause your engine to idle rough? It shouldn't be the MAF sensor or the throttle body since i cleaned those out not too long ago.

Also, if a cylinder misfires, lights should pop up on the dash right?

10% isn't always 10%. Researchers have found samples with ethanol blends measuring as low as 4% and as high as 20%. Run through the gas and get refill at your QT and see what happens.

Yeah, shell does this to mine as well. I have an '11 SE V6 now and I avoid them now. My '07 would flash the check engine light and my power would drop off considerably. With the '11 I still have power loss bit it doesn't trigger the engine light. The power loss from using their gas is noticeable in all my vehicles though ('05 F150, '07 Mustang, & '10 Corolla) so I just don't use them anymore. It may have been different if I had always run their high ethanol content, but I haven't and they didn't change their formula here in KY until last year.

+1 The same to me.
When I used Arco, the car seemed to be more powerful than using Shell, but Arco is not in the list of gas brands that have other elements recommended by Toyota and some other car manufacturers.

It's not really the brand of gas, but more about the station's tanks, and what they put in them. I was doing a road trip last year and ran into this very same problem. I filled up, and then noticed that my car was running really rough. I thought it would stall whenever I would stop. Sure enough, I get back on the highway, and I'm getting godawful gas mileage. I was thinking, "Great, I'm on vacation with the family, and we're going to have to get the car fixed. Something's broken" A few hours of highway driving later, and I go ing for a refill. Immediately the car was happy again. Hallelujah!

p.s. this story was with a V6 camry.
