Rear windshield not flush, any problems?

I had my rear windshield replaced from spontaneous breakage, the first time it's ever been replaced.

After I got it back from the shop, I didn't notice until I took a good look at it that it was not sitting 'flush' with the frame, is this normal or bad? It looks like it is the rubber that is popping up rather than the windshield.

Here are some before and after photos:

I think it's the same OEM window despite the shop (local glass shop) saying it was aftermarket. It just seems the rubber sealing is something else?

Is this normal or anything? Just trying to make sure before I'd have to deal with the shop.

I just looked at mine and there is no rubber molding visible. The back glass is cemented in the molding below it all the way around the perimeter of the window. The glass sits a few thousandths below the grade of the sheet metal. In your photo it appears that the glass is sitting above the sheet metal, and that there is some rubber molding around the glass. Take it back and have them do the job again, or take it some place else and get it done right. You will have air/wind noise forever. Besides, it looks like !@#$%^&*.

The shop probably didn't remove the old adhesive completely. That doesn't look like a professional installation.

I'd recommend a local Pittsburgh Glass Works shop. PGW (a spin-off from PPG) is one of the OEM maker of Toyota auto glass.

WTH? That looks like crap. Real junior varsity work. I don't know what recourse you have aside from letting it "spontaneously" shatter again.
