Interior conversion..LE to XLE

Gday fellas
exterior is now nearly complete on how i look at it and now im getting bored with the car once again, now to build the interior.

What changes would i need to convert the interior of an LE into an XLE?
Has anyone done this before?

Not as simple as taking the old seats out, and wacking the new leather XLE seats in right?

Any info would be great!
Cheers fellas

Yes, the seats go, as well as the door panels, steering wheel, and the dash, not to mention the hvac system that requires massive changes, and massive money. Why do this? Trade the car for something you might like better. Unless you have bottomless pockets, this is ridiculous.

+1, requires lots of $$$

I think you also need a new cup holder.

You could make up a lot of the appearance with aftermarket parts, which are often better (like Katzkin leather seats, rear window screen, wood accents, steering wheel...). Just leave some of the functionality alone, like dual A/C, reclining rear seats, instrument cluster...

So, not sure what is left of the LE-XLE in that case other than standard aftermarket upgrades.

Door panels u can get but I'd just drop leather in ur stock ones and the rest just get some SEM and dye it another color. I actually wanna get rid of my light gray interior n go black lol.

With the dash again u can take that out and dye it another color or whatever if u like. It's possible to get a xle cluster but I don't think u can make the multi info display work. Hvac too much mods needed so forget that. Cup holder and center dash u can get. Bc it's in pieces and not overly complicated.

Seats I'd just get ur stock ones redone in leather. Unless u want power seats and all which will cost money and require mods.

Rear seats I'm pretty sure if ur willing to lay down the cash u can get xle seats, reclining mechanism, and even the sun shade. Just gonna require molding the head liner to have the spots to put in the hooks. The mechanism is manual and not overly complex so won't be bad but I'm sure will cost money.

In the end everything is possible. Just finding the deals and parts is the hard part.

I agree with what others above said. I would get your seats done and door panels done in leather and be done. A guy a few towns over does a whole interior with very nice real leather for a grand. My sister in law had her 2008 TC done and it came out awsome.

Find a crashed XLE in a boneyard and just swap out the seats and door panels. Everything should bolt right in. It's not rocket science.

How many different fabric did the 07+ camry offered?

I know the SE come with either leather or the mesh-type material. Is there another material?

Some dope info here and all very valid points. Ill probably shop around the various junk yards here in melbourne and see what i can find for cheap.

If all fails, just get custom leather interior kinda like what indomi did. which reminds me, i need to contact him whenever i get around to doing this!

I had a fight with one of them though, cause they thought the foglights i had on my car wouldnt fit and i needed a new front bumper in order to do so. for a toyota wreckers, they dont know anything at all.

Try getting the non-stripper fabric instead that comes on SE model (and XLE??)

I prefer that over the leather. Leather is for look not for comfort or durability.
