Dealer replaced radio, Sat. I.D. still the same???

So the radio in my wife's camry has been randomly acting up; blank screen, stuck on stations, won't play cd's etc.... Dealer ordered radio and said they put in a new one but, the Satellite I.D. number is still the same. I thought I.D. numbers were radio specific. I had to redo the bluetooth for her phone and the FM stations had to be reset. The radio was working fine when we took it in. Did they just cut the power and send us on our way?

Check under the drivers seat, I think that is the SAT part of the receiver.....

The satellite ID number will REMAIN THE SAME because that number is generated by the SEPARATE satellite tuner module behind the head unit. Hope this helps.

If you're having issues with your satellite radio function, you should be looking at the tuner module; not the radio head unit.

Thanks. I was wondering if the radio and sat tuner was seperate. The entire system was messed up. It had a blank screen and no functions. Sound would come through from whatever station it was stuck on.

Thanks again.
