GPS question

Another question about our new-to-us 2007 XLE....

the GPS system is wonderful. But everytime we start the car, it gives us the warning screen ("don't read this while driving") and we have to press the "I agree" button. Shouldn't I only have to push that once? Is there not a way to save the acknowelgement so that it automatically comes up to the maps when we start the car?

I think its toyotas insurance. They probably can be held responsible if you get into an accident and if they don't state it everytime you drive. I haven't heard any way of getting around that.

Thanks. That is what I was afraid of. I had hoped it used some sort of cookie to remember the settings.

I don't have an OEM GPS in my car but is there no way to turn it off (like a radio) except when you need it? I'm sure that you don't need it every time you get in the car.

So the newer disks don't do this? I assume that it's the original disk from 2007. I'll check with my Toyota dealer to see how much one costs.

Buy one on EBAY, then sell your old one on EBAY. Net $$$$--less than 100.
