Unhappy 2011 Camry 6-speed poor idle

Hey Guys -
First time Toyota owner here and I wish I could say I'm a happy one. Anyhow, I'm hoping someone here has a similar experience or has an advise for me. I just hit 3k miles and so far made a couple of trips to the dealer because the car can't seem to hold its base idle speed when driving in stop-and-go. I don't have the manual to confirm the number but I'm just guessing the base idle is ~650 or so even though mine sometimes tends to "hunt" between 550 and 800 while at operating temps and NO ac/heat/defroster turned on!
When I'm in stop-and-go, and I'm coming to a stop (in neutral), my RPM dives down to around 500 and then bounces back to ~650. Of course when it goes to 500 RPM, I feel the car almost stalling! Any thoughts what this could be? Maybe IAC valve?

The monkeys at the dealership keep telling me no problems detected by the diagnostic tool and no check light so there's no problem.

Thanks!

Have the dealer check for a TSB for enhancement to the transmission shifting and engine response.

Check here.....T-SB-0287-10, ECM/TCM Calibration: Shift Feeling Enhancement, 2010-11, I4

Sounds like a faulty EGR valve problem to me (if you have the 4cyl), but if your car is that new the dealership should handle it. Get it taken care of and be persistent. I had to get Toyota corporate involved when I first bought my 09, but it was simply a rim problem that the dealership didn't want to replace the rims. They'll fix your problem when they have corporate breathing down their neck.

I don't believe the 2AR-FE engine has an EGR valve.

Thanks everybody! I'll definitely write to corporate and have them put some pressure on the dealer. I don't think my ECM/TCM is an issue since I have a manual trans (and also not in the range of the affected VINs in the TSB).
A faulty EGR definitely sounds like a possibility assuming this engine still has it. I also wasn't sure if it did or not.
