2007 Camry wiper blade insert

Are replacement inserts available for a 2007 Camry or does the whole blade assembly have to be replaced?

Thanks.

You can get just the inserts if the blades haven't been changed before.

Thank you.

I looked at the inserts and there isn't any metal retaining spring so I am not sure how to remove and replace them. I searched for instructions but didn't find any yet. Could anyone describe how to remove them?

Thanks again.

Save yourself time and money by purchasing the correct size wiper blades from Walmart. The Anco Walmart sells are highly rated by Consumer Union. The "inserts" that you purchase from Toyota dealers are no better than what you can buy at any parts store and you don't have to fiddle with getting the old insert out of the wiper assembly. A pair of 24" and 18" blades for my 2004 Camry were less than $12.00 when if purchased them in 2010. Same for the winter blades. The inserts I have replaced are held in the assembly by molded in tabs on one end of the insert. You have to somehow get these tabs past the frame so you can slip them out.

i wouldnt expect wiper blades tht cost 12 bucks would perform very well or last very long; on an 07 camry i would stick with OEM blades or get teflon shield or step up to bosch icon

In my experience, wiper inserts are more of a pain than they should be. They're a lot cheaper in most cases, but require more effort to put on and generally don't last as long.

I've been using the silicon blades (Bosh Icon, RainX Latitude, OEM Style) for years and they are, by far, the best option. They're pricey, at between $12-$20 each, but well worth it.

I liked the performance of the OEM inserts so much on my '11 Camry, I bought a set of the OEM Camry blades for my '05 MDX. The size is the same and the performance is much better than any generic blade I've used before. The inserts are 5 or 6 bucks from the dealer, and take, what, 60 seconds to replace? Win-win.

Pepboys has RainX Repel for $20 for a pair, it's a buy one get one free, they usually go for $20 a piece, they're the best.

I don't think pepboys carry bosch icons anymore, they were good too.

For $20 a pair, forget the inserts!!

It's not the wiperblades. The wiperblades are rubber. If anything, its the sand/dirt that is between the blades and windshield.

After a rainy day or right before you're about to get in the car, take a napkin/towel, and wipe the blades. You'll see how much dirt and stuff is on there.

i clean it almost every day and they are dirty, but still scratch in three different areas.

Because they won't list it as "Camry wipers" Wipers are wipers and work for all models and makes.
