installing sub woofers

hi i want to set up subs in my Camry le 2008 and keep factory HU. i have the MTX Re-Q 3 channel that im going to use as a converter. i want to set it up in trunk but dont know how to supply it power. one forum said that it can be done by just putting it with the amps power terminal because the power wire for the re-q has to be constant. i want to confirm if i can do this or is it safe? i know i can run a wire all the back but that seems like doing too much.

yes you can just attach it to the terminals with the amp, nothing will happen. the unit should turn on and off depending if it senses a signal from the speakers. you'll be fine.
