How to adjust fog lights?

New 2011 SE: how does one adjust the OEM fog light beams up or down? Nothing in the owners manual about it and no adjustment screws visible from the front.

I did not check behind them as there is a panel under the front that would need to be removed first. Are they adjustable from the back?

there is holes in the dust covers, attached to the bumper, right under foglights.you need to look from under the bumper.
get long phillips screwdriver.
right above those holes small size + bolts in foglights housing.
turning them clock wise will lower beam, counter clockwise-rise it.

Why would you need to adjust them to begin with?

I believe they are adjusted too low. I know that with foglights they should be aimed level - if they are aimed up at all they will reflect back off anything in the air into the driver's eyes. Mine appear to be adjust to low however, I'll cover up the headlights and check them against a white wall here soon: measure the beam top from the ground just in front of the light, then adjust to replicate that height maybe 40' out.

If the fogs came from the factory, its already adjusted to its correct height. There is no need to adjust. Adjusting it higher will just blind on coming traffic. The fogs are not meant to be headlights and are closer to the ground for a reason.

I'm actually about to adjust mine way up. It's my drl/highbeam along w/ my mh1 projectors...but soon it'll double as a road sign lighter. I'm gonna put it in everyone's eyes since it runs on drl signal until I hit the high beams then again it's only gonna work as a road sign lighter with reduced brightness when I'm usin my rx330s (parking light mode)... and i typically run only mh1s
my pt bein that everyone has their reasons to do stuff.. don't be hatin

Here's what it looks like from under the car.. u can see that OEM-style fog light and there's a big + for the philips screwdriver.

U don't have to remove the black plastic shielding.. there's a big circular hole on each side for your adjustments

and plz don't run hids in the fogs like the pic shows was an old pic of me messin around

Fog lights wired to parking lights?

Is there a way to change the fog light relay trigger to pick up from the parking lights? My commute takes me along 9 miles that is frequently fogged in, like pea soup! I get alot of glare return from the headlights in that situation and would like to run the fog lights alone.

use that red wire(fog switch) and tap in to the parking light wire.. the easiest access pt is probably from the tires - u can stick your arm in and pull the parking light out to tap it... but remember if u put it in parking light mode, you'll get glare from the DRLs

I actually found that the low beams had less glare than the DRLs that one time I had heavy fog in atlanta b/c the DRL scatters light further upwards.. but atleast if the drl glared more, u could jsut swap it back to low beams

I hadn't considered the DRL's being on in parking light mode, but I can see that the pattern would be higher and reflect more than the projector low beams. I'll try the parking lights with the DRL's and see what the pattern is on my tree lined road with no street lights. Thanks for the info.
If the DRL pattern is scattered higher I'll probably leave things as they are, maybe try a yellow fog bulb (not HID) if I get ambitious.
