Synthetic will be fine. You should use 0w-20 or 5w-20, which ever of those 2 you can get your hands on. Mobil1 is a good brand.

It's used widely throughout the US in all the newer Toyotas, and in places like Florida, Arizona, and California, it gets to be close to the 100F mark! You will be fine

how hot is kuwait? 200degF?

You should be worrying about the type of oil and the frequency of changing. I use 5w20 full syn in Texas

Actually this is a good time to ask advice from the locals and do a ittle investigation on your own. What does the parts store sell the most of this time of year? 5w-20 is good for mileage in Minnesota but when the ambient temperature hits 40-50 degrees in June, July and August, something a little more stiff might be in order although I would avoid sae 60. I assume you are military or a contractor, so ask others what they have been using. That's going to be better advice than anything we can offer here.

I have friends in Arizona that use 5w20 all year long, and don't have any issues whatsoever.

My husband's and my old 89 Mustang GT convertible used 10w40, but it had a leaky oil pan and ran like crap to begin with, lol. I wouldn't use that weight in any newer vehicle, 100 degrees or not.

cooling system of you engine responsible for keeping temp of the engine and oil in specs.
pay more attention to the cooling system then to the oil.
10-40/50 oils for german cars and tractors, they got different gaps and specs on motors.
Jap cars designed for thinner oils.
I wouldn’t go above 5-30.

I still vote on consulting the Toyota dealer in Kuwait City. It's not the 110 degree days in Phoenix you have to worry about. It's the 135 degree days in Kuwait that begin to wear on cars and drivers.

^At that temp, you're really not going to notice much of a difference. It's like 5 degrees and -15 degrees that we see in Wisconsin on a regular basis. Either way, it's freezing cold and extremely hard on your car.

The V6 specifies 5-30 oil. Any good synthetic in that weight should be fine for whatever weather you're in.

Only the I4 gets 20 weight oil. 5W20 in pre 2010 and 0W20 fully synthetic and 2010 and 2011 models.

For the V6, look in owners manual and on oil cap.

[If any 2GR-FE Aurion owners see this, what does the owner's manual and oil cap say there in Australia?]
