URGENT: Parking brake adjuster came off inside rotor. Rotor locked, can't remove.

So I decided to adjust the parking brake on my XLE camry with foot pedal. I took the wheel off, took the plug out and lined up the hole with the adjuster. Then the adjuster broke off inside the rotor but the shoes are clamped up on the disc, so despite removing the caliper, the rotor is stuck on the car.

Before you flame me for being an idiot, you should know I've been doing DIY projects for 10 years including a head gasket. I really didn't do anything untoward, but I'm in a pile of sh*t right now.

Anyone know what to do next?

Are you saying that the parking brake shoe adjusting screw set was turned all the way out so that the male thread was screwed all the way out of the female thread? If this is the case then there is nothing really putting force against the shoes, and they should be loose, or made loose.

d'oh - got it. I was turning the spring platform. It came off. I got the rotor off, put it back together and turned the brake shoe adjustment.

For anyone undertaking this, there is a thing at approx 5 and 7 o clock that looks like it takes a screwdriver head. The adjustment is actually at approx. 6:30 on the rotor and you push a screwdriver in, instead of turning. This wasn't outlined in the DIY I read.
