Gen6 Retrofitting Projector Fog Lights - Need Input from Experiences

Hey everyone,

Pretty soon I'm going to have to get my HID kits for the lows and fogs, however! I am contemplating the Blazer projector fog lights. I know for sure that projectors would be optimal for HID output does anyone here have any experience doing a retrofit with Blazer or any other type of projector fogs that you can name?

Was it worth the mod or would stock have been good enough. I spoke to Matt at the "Retro-Fit Source" and he sent me the link for the Blazers and all the harnesses and essentials included even the 808 HID bulbs and ballasts for $170.

What do you all think about that? Please share your information.

Ok but how's the installation of the blazer? Do you have to open up the stock housing? Or is it a simple drop into place by removing the stock unit as a whole?

why not just do a headlight retrofit instead then you won't need foglights :P

nah i don't need the headlight retrofit. im content with my low beam projectors and i want the fogs to be a projector as well.

i just don't know the requirements for doing that. i mean, either the stock unit just comes out and you mount the new blazer or hella brand right on somehow OR you need to save the lense on the original stock unit and retrofit the aftermarket unit into place.

I have these for my car. They are from Japan and are aftermarket projector fog lights for the Aurion/Asian Camry. They take H3 bulbs and pnp hid bulbs fit. They will fit in the gen6.5 with minor modification but not the gen6.

LNGasMan, what is the best way to remove the fog lights? should I remove the headlights and or go thru bottom by removing the bottom skid plate. I also have a 2011 Cam SE.

+1 on going through the bottom. 10mm and a small flat screwdriver will take the lower covers off. Then a phillips screw driver to remove the one screw on each fog light.
