Gen6 Custom 6x9 speakers ever been done???

has anyone attempted to replace the rear speakers with 6x9's. i know they dont fit but has anyone done some custom work to it to make it fit. im going to try to do a lil custom work myself within the next month to try putting them in, just looking for any help if anyone has gone this route.

You can just find mounting brackets on ebay. Just search Camry Speaker Brackets. I think its like 20 bucks for the front ones and like 10 for the rear and 6 or so for the tweeters or you can jusk make some.

yeah thats what i did you can just buy speaker adapter on ebay, and they fit fine, or like you said you can custom make your own...

I changed my speakers and cut the front two speakers out and used its brackets...cheap way :p

what will you do when you get rid of your car? just keep those speakers in there then? thats the only reason why i don't modify the stock stuff, so when i get rid of it or trade it in i can put the stock stuff back in.

Mine already has 6x9's in the rear



As soon as my suspension is dialed in, its on to replacing those poopy stock speakers.. My Pioneer Avic-D3, JL 500/1, and Alpine Type-R 12 all deserve better

i got 6x9's in the front and rear to but one of my rear speakers blew last week so i want to change them out and put better JBL's in there
