5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
yeah im aware. i was still looking to trade with someone as i will make it work reguardless. just wanted to see if anyone else would be up for the trade
Not trying to be rude, but it's doubtful that anyone would go from their 6.5 LEDs to Gen 6 halogens. Both because the LEDs are obviously more efficient and better looking, plus they too would have to modify their wiring substantially becuase they would need to add the extra wires for the trunk mounted taillights, which currently don't exist on 6.5 models (reverse only).
It would not make sense for someone to have to change that much on their car, to only lose performance and efficiency.
Eagle Eyes above are your best bet. I quite like mine, especially the black housing version on my black Cam.

lol nice, why do you have extra brand new tail lights laying around? haha
well when i first got my camry we kinda got screwed by the salesman and luckily in california we bought the 2 day insurance of if we wanted we could return the car if we did not want to purchase it after we had driven it off the lot....so the next day we discovered a bunch of scratches here and there and then the interior was dirty and had some stains...so we go back to the dealership with a half way ripped up contract....LOL and bitched about the whole process and why are they selling cars like that and we said you just lost a customer and said we were going to chevy so the sales floor supervisor immediatelty when up to us and told us u know the usuall we are terribly sorry for the inconvenience and said "what could we do as a dealership to make you want to keep the car" so i said other than the ovbious full detail (wash/claybar/wax/polish and the whole works interior)...fill up my gas tank right now and one free fill up in the future...free oil change...and i want the 2010 tail lights for my 2009 camry....the guy thought about it and i was like to late and started walking towards the financing department and the guy just ran to the phone and had the lights at the counter of the financing department for me to change my mind and well was gonna change them out but as kenny said different plug and didnt want to cut into the wiring harness at the time and therefore theyre in the boxes in my garage chillen

no you don't have to change the wiring, it will just plug into the stock wiring. If you use the gen6.5 tail lights is different and you will have to modify the wiring in the 07-09 for it to work. they call it 6.5 because some features are slighty different then the gen6. For instance the gen 6.5 the grille, lights, tail lights are different and its 6 speed.
