2003 Camry V6 Start problem- i thought...

Hi guys, need some help with this one.

I turn the key on my Dad's 2003 V6 Camry and nothing happens, no clicking or anything. I thought it was the starter solenoid so since I couldn't find just a solenoid I bought a remanufactured starter/solenoid. I installed it tonight and the results were the same, nothing!

I know the battery is fine, it is relatively new (less than a year). I can hear the fuel pump start and the lights and radio come on.

I looked at the fuse box but I really couldn't determine which fuse it was. I saw an ignition fuse (15amp) but I couldn't even pull it out with a long nose pliers and I don't have the proper puller. Should I be looking a fuse or relay? Thanks in advance for your suggestions...

test the battery! even tho its relatively new, its not uncommon for some batteries to go bad relatively young.... i get a few every couple months at my store; it should still be under warranty

also check the battery cables and terminals

Look in the owner's manual to see where the starter relay is located. Probably in the underhood fuse/relay box.Test it with a multimeter using the ohms function. Regards

Turns out the battery cables were corroded on the positive terminal. There are two cables that get sandwiched together on the pos terminal. The one going to the starter was corroded and not making contact. The cable powering the main fuse box was fine and this is why the radio, lights, and everything else came on. So I cleaned up the cables and terminal, greased them up good and it works great.

Thanks again..
