tapping or knocking noise

Helo guys,i have 2002 xle v6 camry with 90000 ,lately i started to hear tapping or clicking noise coming from the rear of car ,may be the L side,crossing railway rails or passing over small repeated bumps,suspension feels ok.....any opinions will be very appreciated.

Suggest U start simple by checking all sheet metal protectors. My fuel tank protector just fell off my 07 with only 41,000Km. Looked like galvanic corrosion around the 4 mount holes!!!

Are you sure it's not a thumping noise??

Could be the rear sway bar bushing. Easy and cheap to fix.

Get under the rear and c heck for any loose screw, bolt or fluid leak. I would suspect the strut caps. They wear at this age and can make noise. You should be able to distinguish between a tinny, sheet metal sound and something more solid.
