Pulled A-arm trim panel, now air bag light is on

Hello everyone, I have been lurking here for some time now and just had a problem.

I bought a 06 Camry SE about 3 months ago, the previous owner had an Eclipse radio/GPS installed with the GPS sensing unit mounted on the dash. I didn't like the GPS as compared to my Garmin unit so I decided to hide the dash mount as I do not use it. Rather than cut it off and stuff the wire under the speaker grill up front I removed the A arm trim panel cover and placed the unit in there.

Next day I get in to go to work and the air bag light is on.http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/im...s/facepalm.gif I didn't touch anything else so not sure what could have happened.

Any ideas? Also not sure how to reset, is it just like the Check engine light?

i'm guessing the car has curtain air bags?

u may have made a wire, sensor, or connection unhappy...... i would pull the pillar off again and check these

as far as i kno the airbag light can only be reset at the dealer or a reputable shop, but dnt quote me on tht....... i would check on the forums on here 1st

it's probably a good idea to go to the dealer. don't want airbags NOT working when you need them

You'll have to be careful with the dealer though, because they will wonder 1. Why the A pillar was removed and 2. Is the airbag light on because of something damaged when the pillar was removed.

Some dealers won't make a big deal out of it cuz they'd just as soon get paid through warranty as from you. Just keep that in mind. Some will have little bitch fits and feel it's all your fault
