Gen5 Replace LE Instrument Cluster with SE Cluster 2004 Camry

i Know how to remove the instrument cluster, but what will happen with the Mileage on the ODO? Does it just change by itself? Can i add a 2005 Camry Cluster instead?

Depends if the Gen 5 stores the mileage in the ECU? I know the Gen 6's do but even that still requires a recalibration at the dealership once installed. It is possible in any case, just may or may not require additional steps/$$$ at the dealership. I'm sure you know this but the most important thing is to make sure you have the correct cluster for your engine size or it will be off. Ex. Gen 6/6.5 cluster for 3.5L goes to 160 mph but the 2.4/2.5L only goes to 140. Good luck bro, hopefully someone with a Gen 5 could answer your question.

1: 2.4 and 3.0 seem to have the same cluster, 3.3 has a lower redline

2: not sure about mileage being on ecu..... i guess u could ask the dealer?

3. a gen 5.5 should fit BUT the connections are probably different; also gen 5.5 has backlighting that is constantly on
