SE Conversion

I own an 09 Camry (Base Model) and about to order my kit but would really love to get my hands on a SE Face. I tried to get the front lip by itself but was told that the bumber was different from what i had so i would need to do a conversion. Does anyone know what is involved?

PM Netforcer, he's done a 6.5 conversion from his gen 6. It'll just require the entire gen 6.5 front bumper and headlights. $$$

Edit:

Here, found this for you.

Gen 6 to Gen 6.5 Front End Conversion

ps dont forget to use "Search" function next time.

Unless OP wants to order 2007-2009 kit. All he would need to replace is the entire front bumper.

OP, the reason why the lip kit wont fit your bumper because its not designed for it and it requires holes and what nots to attach both together. The shape is also different. Its not a plug and play kit. Same goes for the rear bumper.

Don't forget the headlights too. Gen 6 and 6.5 headlights are shaped differenly enough that it wont work without 6.5 headlights.

No, it's not that expensive.

I converted bumper, headlights, grilles, paint labor and electrical wiring and it was around $1700.

If I wanted to put in foglights, another $250 or so.

1700 is a lot for a bumber that makes it look a little better.
i rather put 1700 in something else in the car or payment for the car

Yes, if you're going from 6 SE to 6.5 SE it's not a huge difference and not worth it IMO.

I basically got a brand new car from my conversion though. 6LE -> 6.5 Modified Hybrid

i think he might be trying to go from 6CE to 6SE . which is still the same conversation if he is trying to get the exact stock look of the SE.

Finally got disposable capital for mods lol. No XXR's, too many people here have them and I went with something a lot lighter. I should have em on and car back on megans later this month. We'll have to meet up again when the weather warms up.

If that's the case, whether he has a ce or le he'll be fine. He said someone told him the bumper was different which is the case with 6.5 SE. Either that person doesn't know what they are talking about or OP wants the 6.5 SE lip. Considering most aftermarket kits look like the gen 6 lip, i'd guess OP wants a 6.5 SE conversion.

Which is it OP? lol

the bumper are different from a 6CE or LE to an SE. the front lip on the SE has holes in the bumper to clip in and two metal brackets attached to the bumper on bottom near the tires to hold clip in place. i was kinda surprised and impressed on those brackets alone.
