Brake Noise needs help

Hey everyone,

i need some help. Just recently changed(diy) the brake pads on my 2007 camry. After a month of driving it around with no problems. Im starting to exhibit some noises. First the noise only happened by turning the wheel all the way to the left and slowly letting the brakes go and kind of slowly brake. It's not consistent and would only happen randomly. Now the noise has moved to going straight also. If i were to go straight under 10mph and slowly brake, it would make noises. The noise i guess can be described as very similiar to the noise the wear indicator on the brake pads would make. Also the pads are oem toyota pads bought from the dealership.

I have taken the car to a trusted mechanic and the stealership but neither of them can replicate the sound.

This one is actually very hard to figure out. I did take it to the dealership and they had no way to replicate the sound and i was without a car for like 3-4 hours. I talked to alot of people and spend alot of time researching but it seems like there could be so many possibility i.e. strut are shot, stuck sliding pins etc etc.

Out of curiosity, where the pads chamfered or did you chamfer the pads when you installed them? Some pads come chamfered, the edges rounded out (think bicycle brakes), some don't! If yours didn't come chamfered and you didn't chamfer them, that can cause the brake squeal you are experiencing! Metallic particles get trapped between the flat edges of the pad and the rotor! By rounding out the edges, you give those particles a place to exit the rotor! Hope this helps you
