Hey guys sorry for such a noob question but I was wondering if I should lower my 2011 Camry and then buy rims that fit it or buy rims first and lower it after? Thanks for any help
lower it before wheels because once you get wheels it will fill the left over gap :P I just lowered my car on H&R springs and i plan on getting 18s later on.
Sounds good thats what I was thinking but wasn't 100 sure. Now I'm considering either 18's or 19's, how much of a drop do you think and will lowering springs alone do the job? if so, any springs you gents can recommend? BlackCam09 how are those H&R's?
Alot of guys on the forums likes the H&R and Tein springs because they give you the most even drop and they are comfortable. Also alot of guys here has coilovers which is a bit too pricey for me so i just went with H&R springs. The H&R springs are great, after i installed them the handling is better when turning and i just installed them on the stock struts. Overall you don't lose much ride quality then the stock. Take a look at this thread, your probably also see my pics near the end of the thread.
Thanks guys... What about these TRD springs I keep reading about?
if you have a v6 you will get a even drop if you have i4 it won't be even, and the guys doesn't really like the TRD springs here. Mostly go with h&r, tiens camry/solara or just coilovers.
H&R Is what the Camry is dropped on and my Tc is dropped on TRD's. The reason I went H&R's on the Camry is because the drop was a liitle more and alos a little more even and great for daily driving on the roads of NY and in the snow. I wish I had the $$$ and the right roads for coilovers!!!
