I want to upgrade my radio but I dont know if I should buy the gps unit off ebay the one that fits right in the car or shoulsd I go aftermarket and get a kenwood or something like that installed. What are you opinions
its going in a 2011 SE v-6

Depends on what you want, the oem look or what? I installed a aftermarket pioneer double din in mine and love it

More options and tuning to play with, also i have a sound system installed.

I have a 2010 and went aftermarket also, loooks similar to blackcam09s deck, but I have the p4300 model

i would be wary of the ebay unit..... its a mystery brand and the quality may not be too good

i have a simple kenwood headunit thats a few years old + kenwood speakers + sound ordnance sub and i'm pretty happy

hey black cam i have a question for you, how did you get the scoche dash kit to sit flush with the air condition controls and everything, i have a double din head unit for 2 years now and ive taken it out and put it back in at least 3 times (dont ask =P) but every time i can't get the aftermarket dash kit to sit flush it has a little gap. i was thinking of bondoing it and making it all one piece but thatll mess things up if i want to trade the car in

@djv That scoche kit sucks, metra is a lot better quality
@blackcam I haven't had a day off to get it goin, figured with all my oveertime ill just have a shop doin and ill catch up on sleep lol .... got tomorrow off finally well half day and goin to take it in when I'm back in town ... just gota get the relay for the dvd bypass while I'm driving

thats not the scosche kit its the metra kit i got off ebay

also i must have taken it out like 3-4 times too for various things.

Oh man black I must ty for convincing me on that pioneer, that 4300dvd is amazing and I haven't had the time to even adjust the EQ, what are your settings if u don't mind sharing? @johnj ... I got my p43000 from amazon,400 shipped, I paid 501 shipped for the indash, ipod media cable,metra dash kit and pac-ps ... all came with free shipping and got within 5_7 days

No problem bro, its def a nice unit and i've always like pioneer units and its not as pricey as alpine and kenwoods. Still affordable and yet great overall, as far as the settings i customized it to my preference and i can't recall it off the top of my head, i also have a sound system too so i set it keep up with my subs too. Glad to hear you liked it though

Ya I'm tweakingthe eq right now but think I need a 2nd ear for input, about what volume u max out at? This my first indash with this many eq options so I'm learnin with every touch lol ... or a website possibly that shows peoples presets to compare to mine ... I have a 12inch sub also are u runnin it off the subwoofer connection of the back of the deck?
