I would personally paint it, just looks better. But if money is an issue overlay works. But if not laid down right it will bubble up.

I like it a lot.
But even if I manage to install it, I'll be worried how to remove it...
Sooner or later it will get faded and damaged.
plus outside 3M film is way more expensive than that.

From what i have heard it peels off just like window tint.

I agree @ fading. That's why i went with paint. Cost extra because of the premium Lexus paint but well worth it

1200 for the hood, new front bumper(and paint) painted the grille as well. Wasn't in an accident, just lots of rock chips etc.

Well 200 of that was for a professional detail. So for the paint 1000.00 and most of that cost was for the Lexus Obsidian paint. It is a pearl so it is a 3 step process.

I want to do a white CF wrap on mine, just to help against the elements. I think it looks nice but that is rather on the cheap side for 3M.

Look into the Dinoc(sp) carbon wrap. It is very very expensive, but looks amazing!

^^I was beginning to wonder when you were going to chime in. Did you DIY that or pay to have it all done?
