So I need to get a new pair of HID's and I don't want to pay 250 + for the kit, like the last time and wondering which brand I should buy.. Is a relay needed?
I have had no problem with my DDM kits but the color consistency from one set to another is questionable. I also know that with back order issues you could be waiting a while before receiving them. My buddy has been waiting a month now and just received notification that his sets are now on the way. Just FIY, buy I do like mine.

Just buy the whole kit as BluTorrent suggested. I'm looking for vids of Morimoto starting up but haven't found any. I want to compare it with other ballasts such as the Denso (warm-up time, dimmer then back or stay on during the start-up).
DDM is a hit-and-miss. If you're lucky, you'll get good stuffs; otherwise, it'll take your time for a replacement.

I agree with you. Most OEM ballasts are designed to be in the housing, so they're not completely waterproof. The best ballast may be the Hella, but it's hard to find a real one though it's pricey. Could you please let me know whether your Morimoto ballasts are dim a bit after starting up, then light begins to build up (video of Morimoto starting-up)? My friend wants a new ballast but he's still undecided yet. Denso is 165; Morimoto is 110 (a huge difference). He always wants the best in spite of the higher price.
Here is a video of Denso ballast starting-up. Warm-up time and the amount of light is awesome.

yea sure thing man, i just put up a thread for everyones opinion on what i was getting, as soon as i get it all hooked up ill b sure to get a video ( it might b a month until that happens tho, hope thats not too long, i work alot lol)
Hella’s are near to impossible to find.. However you can find Philips for $250… But I don’t need the blubs since my old kits philips are working fine. I need a cheap ballast/ kit… There’re too many kits out there, so I’m not sure which to get.
