i really dont know how it happened but i bought my car like this. but now its a eyesore. i would like to get it repaired in the most cost effective way. just want it to look good. anybody has any ideas?

Take the lip off, use a plastic repair adhesive (you can get it at any local body supply shop), and use it to fuse the bumper from the front and back. Sand down excess adhesive on the front, sand down the paint, repaint/clear the lip, reattach.

I see blacked out lip too!!

Def. fix it before it gets worse... i hit an ice bank pulling into my cottage (slowly) barely touched it and it was a small crack...and by the time the weekend was over there was 6" of paint missing. It was -40 ofcourse so that didn't help matters...

But year take it off... and sand down the rough spots and repaint and clear.

im gonna try. i cant take the lip off since i had issues with it earlier coming off and had it repaired. but its in a way that i wouldnt want to detach it cuz i wouldnt know if it could be reattached. but i def want to get it fixed.

Go to a body shop and ask their opinion.
